This is development of Amiga A1200 accelerator board on
Motorola ColdFire(TM) processor support page.
Description
Device is designed as printed circuit board, that can be inserted into
A1200 trpdoor slot and have a processor and slot to plug SDRAM DIMM memory
card in it.
Specification:
- Processor
MCF5475/266 MHz, 133 MHz bus
- Random access memory
One slot for SO-DIMM SDRAM-133 up to 512 MB.
- Compatibility
with MC680x0 processor is designed by emulation of non-inplemented
in ColdFire core instructions by software.
FPU present (IEEE-754 double precision). MMU present.
- Performance
About 150-200 MIPS expected.
Maximum - 400 MIPS on native ColdFire
code. Minimum 20 MIPS in worst case. (Interpretation of every
instruction, that's very rare or impossible)
- Extensions
Extensions may be installed optionally:
- 3 x PCI 32 bit 33 MHz.
- USB 2.0.
- 100 MBit Ethernet.
- AC'97 Audio Codec (24 bit, 96 kHz).
- IDE UDMA-133+2xSeral ATA controller.
- IrDA.
- UART (RS-232)
- Additional Features:
- Background Mode Debugger - special for software development.
- Real time clock.

Found and fixed some errors in accelerator board design. Some components
are bought, but we have no money to start board production. We have
no idea how much time this will least :(
To avoid of waisting time we are starting development of PowerPC based
accelerator board.
